The MusicianShip’s CEO & Executive Director, Eric Liley announced on WUSA 9 that the deadline to submit nominations for the 35th Annual Wammie Music Awards has been extended to January 15, 2023!

Do you have a favorite DMV musician or artist you feel deserves a Wammie Music Award for music they published in 2022? Now is the time to shine a light on the musicians, artists, and industry changemakers who represent the best of the DMV.

The 2022 Wammie Awards, the DMV region’s premier music awards show, was an industry success this year as The MusicianShip hosted over 500 guests at Capital Turnaround in SE, DC. Hosted by ABC7 & The Washington Wizard’s own: Britt Waters, the aisles were filled with the DMV’s favorite music industry collaboratives who have made The Wammie Awards a lasting regional staple for the last 35 years. With public nominations launched on December 1st and public voting ending on January 31st, over 100 regional music industry judges scored over 345 finalists to determine the region’s winners. On March 26th, the DMV music community united at The Wammies to reveal more than 55 Award winners celebrating 2021 music releases spanning over 25 musical genres and community impact awards...

The MusicianShip 2022 Wammie Awards have received close to 1,000 nominations from music fans across the Washington D.C. metropolitan region. January 31st will be the last day to vote for regional musicians and artists who have released music and/or made an impact in the region’s music scene in 2021. All voters must register an account and submit their final votes by 11:59 PM on Monday, January 31st. The Top 7 Nominees with the most votes from each award category will become Wammie Award Finalists.
