Nomination Requirements

1) Artist/Groups must be based within the eligible DC Metropolitan Region. VIEW MAP HERE

2) Released During The Proper Awards Year: January 1st, 2022 – December 31st, 2022

3) Published on a minimum of (2) two of the following public music streaming platforms:  iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Tidal, Deezer, SoundCloud & BandCamp.

4) Nominated Albums must contain at least (5) songs.

5) The same nomination cannot be submitted twice.

6) Cross Genre Duplication Prohibited - Each album and/or songs may only be nominated for one musical genre.  If an album has been nominated in a specific genre, all songs under that album are restricted from being nominated in any other genre. Ex. The album ‘Purple Rain’ by Prince is nominated for Best R&B/Soul Album, ‘When Doves Cry’ is now ONLY eligible for Best R&B/Soul Song. ‘When Doves Cry’ cannot also be nominated for Best Pop Song.

7) Artists can choose their sole genre for each song or album nomination. If not determined by the artist, The Wammie Awards will use the genre designated on the music streaming platforms.
